The “Radio” tech training served
Me well throughout my life,
Now I’m going to retire,
Not rich but I got a plan!
When I got out, I went home and tried to apply
the only saleable thing I’d learned in the Navy.
Western Union said no. Heh. Eventually I found my
footing in photofinishing engineering and learned the
truth of the old maxim, “If you love what you’re
doing, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
I hated to retire.
