Besides, the socialists have an entirely different paint scheme in mind.

Why are we bothering with what will never happen? There wont be future presidents. Trump is the end of the line.

This DemoRat forgets President TRUMP already pared down the cost substantially on the new AF1. Go pound sand or better yet call Pete Buttplug for some service.

This president is not going to fly on this plane under any circumstances
we're simply trying to exercise our oversight responsibilities to try to save the taxpayers money. Seriously? Since when is any DemocRAT concerned with saving taxpayers money? Since we know that being frugal with other people's money is not and has never been a DemocRAT value, we can only conclude that the Congress is once again trying to thwart the president's agenda in a really petty manner.

Perhaps since they want to save money they can stop Pelosi flying home every week. One less flight of an entire jet would equal the paint weight for the next few decades.
Clear Democrat party policy of do nothing positive ever.

Congress-critters trying to save taxpayer $$$... now, that's funny!
In all seriousness, I'd love to see these planes in bare, bright aluminum with some nice nose art. Would that that were possible.

If Obama had wanted Air Force One painted in gay rainbow colors would Congress have cared?

This guy is an idiot....the “additional paint” will not add weight to the plane. This genius doesn’t know that the old paint is completely stripped from the airframe, the surface prepared and a new coating (paint) is applied. Not additional weight.
To: Libloather
Didnt Trump already massively cut the cost of these planes?

Personally I think the Color of Air Force One Should relain the same. Its a color and design that have represented the United States of America and the U.S.Air Force very well since it was initiated in the 1960s.
I like what President Trump has done with many of his policies but this is one area I have to disagree with.
Leave Air Force One in its historical design.

Rep. Joe Courtney, D-Conn., put forth an amendment that would require congressional approval for changes to the paint scheme and interior design of Air Force One. Are you freaking kidding me??!!!

Additional paint can add weight to the plane"The writer seems to think that either (a) the plane was never intended to be painted, or (b) Trump will demand that any new paint scheme be added on top of the old paint. How can someone that stupid find their way to a keyboard?

The additional weight of paint is much less than the additional bottles of liquor the old sot Nancy must have when she flies.
