Given that the Bible says man has dominion over animals and recommends them for slaughter and sacrifice, and given that the Bible never speaks out against cruelty to animals at any point, I have no idea how you got the idea that being religious would translate into kindness to animals.

The simple fact that The Lord Himself, on multiple occasions relates as The Good Shepherd.. indeed the selfless and self sacrificinf shepherd.
Also, His fulfillment of the requirement for anomal sacrices.
In no place in The Bible does dominion over anything mean physical abuse.
I am sure the video is taken out of context as we all know the realities of taking calves from their mothers isn’t easy. So i am not jumping to conclusions about those folks...

Oh, Lord, here we go again with FR's resident False Prophetess.

Exodus 23:12 ”Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.”

Deuteronomy 22:10 “You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.”

Deuteronomy 25:4 “You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain.”

Psalm 50:10-11 “For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.”

Proverbs 12:10 “Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.”

Proverbs 27:23 “Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds.”

Matthew 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Matthew 10:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.”

Luke 14:5 “And he said to them, “Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?”
