I have a similar patch with a KC-135Q doing unspeakable things to an SR-71. Sewn on my old flight helmet bag next to my old flight helmet, I keep in the office of the Fighter Squadron I currently work in. Morale patches have been worn by aircrew of all services as long as I can remember (or at least when I started flying back in 1979). We had a great patch for the KC-10 with “Bill the Cat” with Alone, Unarmed, and Scared inscribed on it.
Whiney useless b*tches.
USS Hawkbill :”Even the crack of dawn ain’t safe”
Leftist commentators and pundits should be punished for suggesting such a thing.
I started to list what doesn’t trigger the left...
1. killing unborn humans
2. trashing the U.S., the United States’ Founders and Founding Documents
3. Trashing the Christian God
4. Trashing Christians and observing them slaughtered around the world
5. Trashing the very idea of a morals code
Trump does not “personify” civilian control; he IS the top civilian in control over the National Command Authority and the military.
The military is not supposed to be “loyal” to the civilian control but is mandated to follow and execute the legal orders of the NCA. They swear loyalty to the Constitution, to support and defend the Constitution, not any civilian or group of civilians.
This is what separates our armed forces from the forces of tinpot dictators who swear fealty to the dictator.
Those patches are not a political statement any more than some of the patches we wore during the 80s and 90s.
I am in awe.
I thank you for your ministry of correction. I really don''t know what I would do without people who know so much more than I do and who have no inhibition about saying so.
The ones I am most thankful for are those who are quick to correct anyone who dares to say we are a democracy. But this is a close second. We are lucky to have so many on FR who really DO know it all.
Leadership encouraged and allowed this as it’s so nice to have a CINC that they and those under them can respect...temp patches and used as a morale device....seen a number of “informal accessories” used this way over 39 years in and around the military.
