Mueller Reportedly Reluctant To Testify Publicly About Russia Probe
Daily Caller ^ | 05/21/2019 | Chuck Ross

According to The Post, Mueller wants to testify privately about topics that aren’t laid out in the lightly redacted special counsel’s report. Democrats hope to get Mueller to say whether President Donald Trump would face charges of obstruction of justice if he were not president. They also want Mueller to discuss his interactions with Attorney General William Barr regarding the investigation, as well as the release of the report.

He already told the Dems that if he testifies they will regret it.

Did he tell them that? He's right. They're deranged. They can gain nothing from his testimony. If he thought there was an obstruction case he would have said so. But besides that, the evidence I'm sure is going to be damning against their allies. They should not want any of that under discussion on live TV. As I just wrote above and like Page/Strzok wrote in their texts "there is no there there" it was all a plot to install HRC as POTUS and destroy DJT at any cost including falsifying evidence, bearing false witness, perjury, abuse of power, using the power of state to spy on opposition and more. Hell even Comey admitted to breaking the law while under oath to Congress - he leaked the four memos (a crime) to get Mueller appointed. No getting around that, he should've been charged then and there.

Leakers are being investigated and should go to prison like other leakers have. Those who perjured themselves to FISA courts and Congress can be their cell mates. Those involved in the seditious activity against POTUS will stay in prison longer. We are told that a lot more evidence and transcripts from Congressional testimony is headed for release. Trump, I'm sure, will declassify almost everything about this. And like he did with Sessions and Rosenstein he'll keep his hands off and let the DOJ do its job.

The Dems have to let go of the anger. It's very unhealthy for them, us and the Republic. But I guess they cannot do it. For some of them, it is a calculated effort as misdirection. For most of them, they are just total dimwitted dupes. First they believed the dirty tricks and lies about DJT during the election in order to justify their support for the horrible candidacy of HRC. Then, brainwashed by the hateful campaign they were emotionally destroyed by his election without even pausing to rethink their thesis. She lost for a reason, and that reason is purely her own fault not racism, sexism, xenophobia, Russians under the bed blah blah blah. But having believed all that nonsense, now they believe anything anything they are told.

Mueller wants to testify privately about topics that aren’t laid out in the lightly redacted special counsel’s report.

If it's not in the report, then it's immaterial.

Mueller can't lead an internal DoJ investigation, report his findings to the Attorney General, and then run to Congress with what he "really" wanted to report.

That would be admitting that his entire report to the Attorney General was essentially fake.

He ain’t gonna testify. Of course he wants to avoid those questions, and many other topics. As you alluded to fruit of the poisonous tree, and as Barr has strongly suggested, Mueller deliberately avoided examining the pretext for all of this nonsense. He never investigated the FISA warrants. He never investigated the methods and origin of the operation against Papapdoupolos. The Trump Tower hysteria never went to interview the FusionGPS connection or the lawyer at the center of it all. He never went anywhere deep just just shuffled the papers on the top of the piles to give more appearances where nothing serious actually existed - just like the plot and set-ups against Trump and his associates; the tower meeting, the Papadopoulos set-up, the Carter Page lies all designed to create an appearance of something that wasn’t there.

All he got was some tax evasion, FARA form failures and some perjury traps - the one against Flynn was particularly disgusting, asking him questions which they said was informal and did not require a lawyer (and which Comey later bragged about the set-up) in which they already had the transcripts. Why ask him about a conversation in which they already had the transcript if not purely to try to catch him in a lie? There was no crime there at all, they had to manufacture one by grilling him. 100% pure entrapment and even Comey’s deputies thought he was innocent. But this was indicative of the behavior of Comey et al. They lied all the time. They lied to Flynn. They lied to the FISA court saying Steele’s memos were verified and reliable. They lied to POTUS saying that he wasn’t under investigation. They lied to everyone all the time; mostly to themselves and to those egging them on.

Mueller quite simply “could not go there” because to do so would open up the pandoras can of worms and unravel the enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in a riddle that was the intelligence agencies’ criminal actions to influence the outcome of the election and then destroy the sitting POTUS. Mueller is not going to open himself up to being a public party to this criminality.

"I can’t imagine why Mueller would be reluctant."

I can. I'm betting he has no idea what's in his report. His minions did all the legwork, and put it all together for him.

And if he takes the 5th, there would be heart attack central in Congress.

My prediction is that after the IG reports on this massive abuse of Trump’s and Paige’s 4th amendment rights all the convictions will be overturned including Manafort. They will reject Flynn’s guilty plea because the DOJ had exculpatory evidence from the FBI reports that indicated the original agents believed he was truthful and was withheld from the trial judge in his case. They will also drop the case against Roger Stone because the FBI has no independent evidence that confirms the discredited analysis of Crowdstrike that Russian state agents actually hacked the DNC email servers. The greatest political crime in American history will finally be exposed.

Can you imagine Mueller falling in a perjury trap? That was his last hope to get Trump until Rudy put his foot down and screamed "over my dead body!"

No way in hell he'll fall for his own trick.

If it's not in the report, then it's immaterial.

Immaterial WRT presenting evidence to a sane court, not necessarily WRT propaganda and fundraising.

I don’t think its the questions he’d be asked in committee. He could just lie like every good little Deep Stater. Its the follow up questions he’d be answering in front of some future grand jury that scares the bejebers out of him.

It sure is taking forever...! Not convinced abouit about every one of your predictions but I agree wholeheartedly in principle. I suspect that the information we have been waiting for will be released on a regular and increasingly intensified basis the closer we get to the election. It sure would be nice if those convicted by Mueller were to be released on appeal by the courts before the election - that would effectively close the book on this seditious scheme in the eyes of most of the public at large.

Meanwhile, they continue to violate Trump’s 4th Amendment Rights, to wit; the demand to turn over his personal financial and legal documents from when he was a private citizen, without Probable Cause or Warrant. I am only a little bit shocked that a judge actually ruled against him. This is so clear a violation it should make a penguin blush.

Yep - and AG Barr never had a sit-down about his juvenile op-ed piece disguised as a report...or his partisan methodology...

These aren't hard to answer, TBH. Here's my stab at them, just for devil's advocate; 1. Were you aware that the creation of the Special Prosecutor was invalid because there was no criminal investigation of President Trump at the time it was enacted?

No I was not. It was not my job to question that. Only to conduct a valid and thorough investigation based on the standards set before me. If there were crimes committed, it was my job to find them. It is the job of the IG and AG to investigate whether or not procedures were followed for enacting the special council.

2. Were you aware that the President is the head of the Executive Branch and can fire anyone for any reason under his power? How can he obstruct justice when there was no crime being investigated?

It would not have been my job to assess whether it was obstruction to fire the head of the special council. That job would have fell upon my successor.

3. When were you aware that there is no criminal statute prohibiting any American citizen from receiving information or communicating with foreign officials, ie collusion?

If the information had been received or at least offered with a an exchange or promise of in kind return of favor, quid pro quo, or special consideration, then the act would have to be evaluated for criminal prosecution.

4. Why did you continue your illegal and unconstitutional search for a crime even after you determined that no crime of collusion existed and no evidence that it even happened was ever produced?

I disagree with your characterization of a lawful investigation set forth by law. If you take issue with 600.1 CFR grounds for appointing special council, please take that up with the acting AG of the time.

5. Will you accept financial liability for convicting or referring Manafort, Paige, Papadapoulos, and Flynn for criminal prosecution even though your investigation was illegal and the fruit of the poisoned tree?

Prosecutors acting in good faith should never be subject to revenge or retribution, it would undermine the rule of law.

President Trump was ABSOLUTELY SURE that the accusations of collusion were UNTRUE.

Why wouldn’t anyone in their right mind want to fire the idiot or idiots who were accusing him of it.

So, where’s the OBSTRUCTION?
I have asked that many times.
