Harris knocks Biden on crime bill: 'It did contribute to mass incarceration in our country'

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) knocked Joe Biden on Wednesday after the former vice president said the 1994 crime bill he helped write did not lead to mass incarceration.

"I have a great deal of respect for Vice President Joe Biden, but I disagree with him," Harris, a former prosecutor, told reporters in New Hampshire.

"That crime bill, that 1994 crime bill, it did contribute to mass incarceration in our country. It encouraged and was the first time that we had a federal three-strikes law. It funded the building of more prisons in the states. So, I disagree, sadly."

Horizontal is soft on crime. Got it. The three-strikes law. Hmmmmm. How much prison time do you get for deleting 33,000 classified emails which were under subpoena?

I don’t recall Harris bringing up Hillary’s Super Predator Crime Bill in the last election. On occasion democrats were actually right 25 years ago. Those days are gone forever.

This is just a preemptive strike; Harris is exposed for her own role in incarcerating plenty of blacks in her capacity as Attorney General in CA.

Places that have/had mass incarceration: Nazi Germany, Cambodia, Stalin’s Russia, Saudi Arabia, North Korea et al.

Places that don’t: USA

Every criminal has had due process. In many (most?) cases they’ve had second and third chances and beyond due to soft judges and crowded prisons. Every criminal has had his individual case heard and decided.

Just because a certain segment of the population is disproportionally represented in prison population doesn’t mean there’s anything ‘mass’ about it.

Bill Clinton's 1994 crime bill contributed to
<><> stiffer penalties for inner city criminals,
<><> mass incarcerations of minorities,
<><> It encouraged and for the first time the US had a federal three-strikes and you're out law,
<><> It funded the building of more prisons in the states.....

In a 1993 speech, Biden used racist-type language that is coming back to haunt the 2020 wannabe:
Biden described a "cadre of young people (he means Black people), tens of thousands of them, born out of wedlock,
without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience ... because they literally have not been socialized....
Biden said if we dont focus on them now a portion of them, will become the predators 15 years from now."

Biden was echoing the Clintons-----then-Pres Bill signed into law stiffer penalties for inner city criminals.......
Hillary took to the mic to burnish her ambitions, and stupidly called the black criminals "super-predators."
"We have to bring them to heel," Hillary insisted.

Black protesters showed up at her 2016 campaign events, reminding her of her choice of words to describe them.

I have always noticed that keeping your nose clean helps in not becoming involved personally with the criminal justice system.

When there are masses of criminals, mass incarceration is necessary.

And in the news:

CRIME BILL RESPONSIBLE FOR SENDING PEOPLE TO JAIL

Only an irresponsible liberal would consider that alarming. If only they lived in the real world where real criminals sometimes get arrested, get tried and convicted, and get sent to jail. Oh, the outrage of it all.

Let’s not criticize Democrats who were once tough on crime. Mass incarceration is appropriate for rampant crime. The people who have to live in fear of thugs can see this truth easier than libertarian thinkers and sheltered people like the President’s son in law.
