US sailors aboard a guided missile submarine created a vile rape list targeting female crew members and the captain in charge didnt bother to investigate, according to a disturbing report on Friday.
Capt. Gregory Kercher was alerted that two lewd and sexist and potentially dangerous lists targeting women were found on the USS Florida last June, according to a 74-page Navy probe into the misconduct, obtained by Military.com through a Freedom of Information Act request.
As rumors of a rape list were promulgated throughout the crew, significant numbers of females became concerned for their safety, and male members who learned of the list were equally repulsed, Rear Adm. Jeff Jablon, then-commander of the groups onboard system, wrote in a letter to a higher-up, according to the report.

“Male members”
The NYP comes through again.
Isn't it a "Ballistic Missile" submarine?
This is just beyond my comprehension. I hope, as other posters have said, that this is Fake News.
I joined the Army in 1979 and I was either extremely LUCKY, or rather it was that I worked with AWESOME people up through Operation Desert Storm, because I never, EVER had any superior officer, or any enlisted person that outranked me treat me in any other way than with respect.
I was in the first co-ed Training Platoon at Fort Jackson, SC in 1979, and I will admit it WAS tiring dragging the boys along with us, LOL! ;)
I have two BFFs (now retired) from that time period; one is a Major, the other a CWO and we have discussed this at LENGTH - NONE of us ever had ANY problems with the menfolk we worked with in the Army, here or abroad. They both married military men, long-term marriages of 30+ years, each. I made the mistake of marrying a civilian - that didn’t work out, LOL!
Thoughts?
I made it to SFC, E-7, was a Platoon Sergeant in charge of seventy (mostly men!) and was up for my E-8 First Sergeant stripes when I decided to hang it up. Had a step-son with big medical issues, so it was time. I also had my Certificate of Eligibility for Warrant Officer. I obviously was a hard worker and usually held positions of authority/responsibility from Squad Leader on up. I was enlisted as an E-3 due to education and I helped recruit two others when I enlisted.
Again, it must be a whole new world if military personnel are acting this way. Probably a lack of LEADERSHIP because our upper ranks really took a beating during the 0bama years. I also remember higher-level NCOs and a lot of Captains that left when Slick was President. (I was in Admin at the time, processing discharges. My superiors were in Panic Mode because we were losing so many.)
Again, when I hear of these situations, it’s just so absolutely foreign to my Army experience. I loved EVERY minute of it and miss it to this day. MAGA! :)
The issue isn’t the Rape List. The issue is mixing genders on front-line naval assets.
A really stupid idea that destroys unit cohesion and morale both on board the ship and at home as well.
And I bet those chicks are disappointed that smoking is no longer allowed on subs. ;)
They should not let women on Subs..
The women really pissed are the
ones who didn’t make the lists.
thanks for the above average comment. Not to give away my age but I was on a diesel boat and a boomer. If my granddaughter wanted to join I’d surely discuss her abstaining completely and to never ever cross the line because true or not word would spread so fast like a group of old women
No. Four of the Ohio boats were converted to carry Tomahawks instead of ballistic missiles.
“Do you smoke after?”
“Don’t know. I never looked.”
Guys will be Guys, but i sounds more like the beginning of Facebook and silly crap like that. WHY are Women on Submarines in the First Place??
There was no wisdom.............
I agree it should have been investigated, not ignored. On the other hand....were any females actually raped?
It could have been a (more innocent) list of “hot” sailors, rather than a “rape” list. I’m suspicious of the article’s narrative and the author’s agenda.
The girls should not be on subs anyway.
You are setting both party’s up for problems.
Some 19 y/o still haven’t got control of certain urges.
Have there ever been subs for women only?
Maybe there should be. Men and women are different.
I agree in principle, but man what a disgusting and divisive thing to play around about. Just the finding of the list would make women feel very exposed.
You’ve got to have questionable moral character to play around concerning such issues.
Anyone having a mom, a sister, an aunt, or kids of their own would find this very disgusting.
Ie. Marry. F##k. Kill.
Males? Females? I thought only old white males made those distinctions to keep women barefoot and pregnant with the sammich n beer tray.
Insane to have women on a submarine. Democrat scum are destroying the military.
Agree. Women should not be in subs.
