LOL ........ you’re right.
POTUS is just that, not emperor.
“As Kenny Rodgers song says Know when to Hold them Know when to SHOW them.”
Almost....
You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em
Know when to fold ‘em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
The real “election interference” came from the Intel services of our “allies”. I look forward to an official reevaluation of several relationships.
The sad part is Barr will inevitably conclude Limited, Modified Hangout is the way to proceed. They are already setting the stage. No one. On either side is going to get what they want. How many times have we heard this in recent months? He has even said his goal is to restore the integrity of the DOJ. I wouldnt look for him to go out of his way and drag it through the mud first. Which is why we are hearing all this two weeks, and four to six weeks, and four to six months crap.
So, like the Twin Peaks Massacre, this will drag out for years (ten if the country survives that long, which I doubt). We will continue to get little drips and dabs of fine details not previously known. Just enough to keep us from rising up in justified fury and burning DC to the ground but not enough to actually get any body arrested.
I strongly disagree.
Since Trump is the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Justice, the responsibility for the appointment of Robert Mueller falls on Donald Trump - and on Trump alone.
When Sessions recused himself from the Russia Investigation, Trump had the authority to immediately fire Sessions and nominate a new Attorney General.
Instead, Trump did nothing.
In fact, Trump did worse than nothing.
Trump nominated Rod Rosenstein to be Deputy AG.
Rosenstein was an Obama loyalist for eight years as Maryland U.S. Attorney.
Rosenstein appointed and “supervised” Robert Mueller.
Trump had the authority to withdraw Rosenstein’s nomination and nominate a true Conservative, but, once again, Trump did nothing.
Without Trump's active approval, no Special Prosecutor would have been appointed, or necessary.
Strongly disagree.
Every court opinion has said or implied the same thing....
Trump has the Constitutional authority to write a new DACA policy.
Specifically - Trump can order the DHS Secretary to remove all the DACA kids since they are illegally present in the USA.
However - Trump does not want to deport anyone, except criminal aliens.
So, Trump wrote an Executive Order that declares Obama’s DACA Executive Order to be invalid.
THAT is what the courts reject.
They have told Trump he does not have the authority to declare Obama’s E.O. invalid.
All of this is political theater.
Millions of voters - like me - actually thought Trump promised to deport the DACA kids.
No - the ever clever Donald Trump promised to "end" DACA.
Shame on me for being so gullible.
