How did we ever get to this point, where the majority of our elected government are this pathetic and unqualified? Seriously. If you were trying to specifically choose the worst people to hold public office, and you really tried hard, it would be difficult to come up with a group of people more pathetically unqualified, untrustworthy, untalented, and uncreative as those we have now - particularly the Democrats.
it started with the rise of the "professional" political class - if politics is your profession, then you are a know-nothing, glad-handing, manipulator of public sentiment. That describes most of the media also.
