The F.B.I. on Saturday arrested the leader of a right-wing militia that was detaining migrant families at gunpoint near the border in southern New Mexico, as the group faced a torrent of criticism for its tactics.
Hector Balderas, New Mexico’s attorney general, said federal agents had arrested the leader, Larry Mitchell Hopkins, who had been operating under the alias Johnny Horton Jr. Mr. Balderas said in a statement that Mr. Hopkins was arrested on charges of firearms possession by a felon.
“This is a dangerous felon who should not have weapons around children and families,” Mr. Balderas said. “Today’s arrest by the F.B.I. indicates clearly that the rule of law should be in the hands of trained law enforcement officials, not armed vigilantes.”

Just like Trump, Flynn, Manafort, Rodger Stone, the typical FBI pattern continues.
They disagree with somebody’s politics yes, so they launched an in-depth investigation of them to find anything criminal they can hang on them. This poor sap was a convicted felon, and when the FBI studied him they saw him with a gun.
Meanwhile people with the correct politics can commit serious crimes of Espionage and violence and their crimes are covered up.
The FBI is a secret police enforcing political positions. We live in a police state. They begin investigations solely because they dislike somebody’s politics.
Give the militia medals ...I thank them.
The FBI is a Gestapo/Zampolit hybrid enforcing a nomenklatura system, and we are the Samizdat.
So once again, the FBI goes after the good guy, just like when they went after President Trump.

I’m sorry, but until the laws change, a felon can’t own a gun. It’s supremely stupid for anybody barred from owning firearms to put himself in that position.

Yet since the FBI didn’t like their politics, that was enough for the FBI to investigate them, actively LOOKING for something to GUILTIFY them with.

A felon is a felon. The law doesn’t typically attach a qualifier to it. If you’re a felon, you can’t own weapons.
