Okay, so I’ve seen some sources that say that “bus” can use either a single or double “s” with a suffix, but it still doesn’t make the headline any less silly.
I know what you mean, but I almost never see ‘Buss’ used in that manner anymore. Not since back in the 60’s or 70’s, and then, it was mostly part of a novel, something to be read, never spoken. It’s a part of a more genteel age.
