Assuming SCOTUS allows the citizenship question on the upcoming census, illegals don’t count and don’t raise the electoral count.

I am not sure you are correct...If you have links that contradict my summary, please provide—I would love to be proven wrong on this.

Actually, I think illegals do count in the census...Not even sure if the Census question that is under review was asking if person is here legally or illegally. It was a question of citizenship.

Here is an article that supports my understanding...

https://www.heritage.org/immigration/commentary/why-should-states-protect-illegal-immigrants-be-rewarded-more-political

The Constitution does a count of PERSONS...not citizen vs. non citizen...legal vs. illegal...

So although the question on the census as to whether or not a resident is a citizen or not, or legal or illegal is enlightening, it has no bearing in the count. I believe that unless SCOTUS rules otherwise, it is a body count...

I.E. SCOTUS would have to rule separately on whether or not to count non-citizens in Census because I don’t think the Constitution specifies...

Problem is that the body count is used in assigning the number of electoral votes and Reps...

Again, I hope I am wrong, please point me to the relevant source that says otherwise...
