Bad part about kicking Amazon out of NYC, No company in their right mind will gamble to invest in the city or the state for a long, long, time.
Why Should They?
They won’t even consider it because of the cost.
A lot of people have said it doesn’t matter if they move to another headquarters. Yes, it does. They invested thousands of hours by dozens of people OR MORE, proposing the deal, negotiating it, traveling to negotiate, running the PR, agreeing to this and that. Those are costs they’ve LOST moving to site B.
Then there’s the fact that they were promising to build parks, a school and a lot of infrastructure, while AOC is demanding they give up lots of tax breaks that hardly offset what they were going to do.
It is obvious the SJWs saw Amazon as a cow to be milked dry. First agree to all the infrastructure and jobs plus some tax breaks. Then get bullied into giving up tax breaks. Then you’re told you have to hire these SJW trainers and donate money over there if you don’t want strikes and protests ...
It is blackmail by liberal bullies - do what we want, pay what we want, or we whine or riot. Amazon was smart enough to walk away before it became an endless “entitlement”.
Everyone else should realize that you can’t give liberal bullies what they want because it never stops.
