I love their nest site, and the grasses they built up to keep the babies in is amazingly high.
Every time I look in on Milda, I hold my breath. But she does seem to have at least built up the edges of the bowl so the eggs won’t just roll out. I hope it works!
Their site is gorgeous and what a view they have. I watched the sunset on the cam last evening and wow!
They build up the side of the bowl each day but the grass falls off when they move around. When the eaglets hatch and start getting some size, that’s when I worry the nest will collapse. No limb for support and they didn’t place very stout sticks. They also choose to put the bowl on that side where previous eagles had theirs on the right side.
That’s why it collapsed last year.
