And what if it’s close enough for a recount?

Before you can switch to national vote total, Fedgov will need to centralize voting rights. No longer will states be able to chose their own voting procedures - it must all be done the same nationwide otherwise there is disenfranchisement. If felons can vote in this state, they have to vote in every state, etc.

Dems of course believe they can rig the voting and we need to have them stopped before they control everything again. They are saying to themselves “Somehow Trump got elected and we must make sure something like this (a Republican winning) never happens again.”

How odd that they never mention this obvious fact. Of course, the main benefit for the dems would be that they don't have to engineer vote corruption in 50 different states, they can just concentrate their efforts in the cities they own: Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.
