Pregnant women who got measles or rubella (I can not remember which) often had babies with related problems, such as deafness, I have been told.

Yes, regnant women who get Rubella often have birth defects.

That’s why the mothers of little girls would ENSURE they got the German Measles, even if they had to travel for it.

Or, they did until the 1960s.
