Someone here posted a few months back that state senates were determined like the US Senate until some decades back when the US courts (supremes?) decided that states couldnt do that. It was under a liberal court period. So much for states rights and being a republic ( and not necessarily a democracy). So now become of that the state senates and state assembly are chosen by population density.
This could be something we could have a conservative court change.
But dont hold your breath.
My state senator is still picked by the district they represent. Albeit their districts are larger than the state level House rep.
