I do not wish to offend you, but the sale of drugs that should be dispensed by prescription in India has caused some huge problems. Some of the most notorious drug-resistant bacteria in the world come from India, precisely because of the practice of selling antibiotics over the counter.
Why are you concerned about problems of those people who want to take the responsibility for themselves? WHO APPOINTED YOU THEIR MOTHER?
My mother raised 5 children, using prescription drugs available on OTC in India in 1940’s and 1950’. We all grew up strong and healthy, all finished college.
I am not asking anyone to buy meds made in India or China. You buy them from where you want them. Because I believe in freedom of choice. But if I want to buy them from Mexico, I do not need mother gov’t telling me I can’t do it.

I lost most respect for doctors 40 years ago growing up in a rich neighborhood and overhearing their conversations...
My (ex) doctor was more concerned about selling prescriptions for speed (”medical weight loss”) than actually doctoring...
My mother in law died years ago from T2 diabetes complications and now her husband is getting TERRIBLE advice from his “expert” kidney doctor (a low inflammation diet would help more than ALL the pills he’s on)... Doctors just want to keep getting free cruises , seminars in Honolulu and other perks for prescribing metformin and other drugs that cost tens of thousands of dollars a year ... other entities are in on the scheme ,, the American Diabetes Assoc. ... They don’t want to cure T2 diabetes because it makes them too much money... it’s easily cured , often in 45-60 days with nothing but dietary changes.... and the diet the diabetes assoc. endorses only makes the disease worse.
