Bullshit.

While Roosevelt didn't acquire industry, he mandated its operations to the point of acquisition, making the distinction between regulation and outright socialism meaningless.

Exactly right.

And you can say the same thing about today's "progressives". They don't want to acquire industry. They too mandate their operations.

And they just don't want to be called socialists, which is their only complaint about AOC.
