BOTH have openly stated they would be willing to negotiate ONLY if the Government were opened.
He has given them two weeks to show they are not liars.
One can figure Pelosi isn’t going to budge an inch.
Also she has NO EXCUSE for holding up the SOTU Tuesday, just hope she balks as she will again show what a lying SOB she really is.
If shutdown happens Feb 15 it is on THEM, so no viable reason to cave.

CBS/s use of the word "essentially" will give the libs reason to cheer. However, that usage is entirely inappropriate. This deal is significantly different in that it has a 21 day fuse. That 21 days gives Pelosi et al time to come to their senses.
Pelosi's statement once again clearly discloses her agenda, however; and that, given the obvious, current weakness, is to interfere with or even deny the President's attempt to effectively improve America's national security.
Such an agenda transcends normal politics and should concern every thinking American.
With Trumps experience dealing with Japanese, I have a feeling he is jusT letting her save face after hammering her so many times.

Money for border security is the line they feed you to look like they are serious when all they are doing is funding all the normal stuff like border patrol. Don’t buy the spin, there is no money for wall or any other real difference to the status quo.
He lost so far, this is definitely a retreat. But who won? I contend the snakes in the senate, who signaled they were crumbling when a bunch crossed party lines to side with the “everything the dems ask for, nothig for wall” Bill the other day. Losing this way is better than having his own party openly rebel against him. So a strategic retreat, now let’s see what he does in the next three weeks. If nothing, then his four years will have been fun and we’ll see what horror show the dem President in 2021 will put us through.
Trump is going to get drones and the wall. Trump can start building at anytime with Pentagon counter drug money. Add to that the money from the National Emergency. Add to that whatever he can get from the shutdown. Win, Win, Win. Time phased money on top of the contract just given for wall construction. We also need more boats on the Rio Grande.
