We will have to settle for steel slats minus all the other accoutrements especially the remote-controlled weapons systems ... if we are lucky.
None of that is effective unless backed up with live armed military patrols and quick-reaction forces dispersed along the barriers.
They will also need pre-approved authorization to use lethal force at the discretion of local commanders - and to fire across the border if they are attacked.
