What Jim misses is that President Trump is offering DACA up to show DACA & the courts that the Democrats really could careless about DACA. They are more interested in open borders, because if they cave for just DACA recipients then they quash their formula for new voters via the open border. The bonus is they do not even have to wait until they become citizens. All they have to do is get them registered and allow them to vote, because they are not going to verify the legality of their votes.

President Trump knows the outcome before he even makes the offer. Much-ado about nothing, other than President Trump exposing the Democrats as to what they really are about, to their supporters. It's called converting Democrats to become President Trump supporters.

I think the DACA that Trump will lay on the table....will be some DACA-lite offering. I think he’ll say that you (without arrests or convictions) can walk in and ask for the DACA deal, which means you get a visa/work-permit and a ten-year path to citizenship (if you didn’t get arrested or convicted). Part of this might include the fact that you need to establish you’ve been in the US prior 2017, and prove you haven’t registered to vote. With the pathway deal, you wouldn’t be able to vote until you fulfilled ten years of residency.

But the rockhard truth is that Pelosi and the rest will fight against this because it doesn’t go far enough. Once they do this ‘act’....Trump will get half of the Latino votes, and the whole game changes overnight.
