Thanks so much for the questions. I can help on some of them. It is the holy grail to find alternative delivery of oxygen. Lots of attempts and studies. Nothing yet even looks promising. As for autologous blood. Probably safer however banking blood causes loss of 2,3 DPG which is the crucial enzyme for oxygen delivery. Even autologous blood is not as efficient as delivering oxygen although with autologous you don’t see the inflammatory response that causes the degradation of the KAPLAN -MYERS curve. So safer yes, ideal no.
