President Donald Trump sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter Thursday informing her that he was postponing her upcoming overseas trip because of the ongoing partial government shutdown.
The letter served as the president's response to Pelosi's letter the day before urging the president to either delay his State of the Union address or submit it in writing.
"Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed," Trump wrote. "We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over."

Of course the question is simply this, why is it fine and dandy for Speaker of the House Pelosi to leave the Country for a week while the Federal Government is shut down?
Has she been criticized in the Press for even planning this trip?
If POTUS Trump flies to his Florida Home during the Shutdown the shouts of IMPEACH would be shouted by Democrat Congress Critters from the top of the Capitol Dome.
I'll have to look into it but for national security, I think the Atomic Energy Act of 54 or an amendment mandates a plane for Speaker of the House and SecDef.
Does it mandate *where* the plane gets to fly to?
Only thing better would be to ground the flight AFTER they get to Afghanistan

Force Base (AFB), Maryland, to outside the continental United States (OCONUS) will not be
used for parties with less than three members of Congress. Due to the high costs, large military
aircraft (15 or more passenger capability) will be approved only for groups of 5 or more
members of Congress.
