Pelosi takes away Trump's TV
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | January 16, 2019 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 01/16/2019 6:59:11 PM PST by artichokegrower

To say House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has mastered the art of dealing with President Donald Trump would be a gross understatement. She fact-checked him in the Oval Office on live TV and passed spending bills to reopen the government, thereby reinforcing Trump's responsibility for the shutdown. To top it off, she's taking away the president's TV. More precisely, in response to Trump's nearly monthlong temper tantrum, she has told him he won't get his prime-time State of the Union address on Jan. 29.

Do it at the Lincoln Monument on Monday. The Libs would have a fit.

She may have done him a favor. The entire country doesn’t need to see the Dems doing whatever it is they plan to do: sit there without clapping for anything, wear Mickey Mouse outfits, whatever. The network cameras would be certain to show any funny faces or other antics detrimental to the dignity of the president.

Oval Office is good. There might even be a more significant place. Leave it to Trump.

The mentally-diseased daily voice of the street-potty-and-dirty-syringe capitol of America again spews stupidity.

I would love to see him do a SOTU speech in Texas, in a stadium. Set the stage to look exactly like the house. Put chairs on the field just like the house and then have the republicans seated in their normal position and leave the dem side vacant, (or invite the dems to attend and leave the seats empty for those that don’t come). This would really provide great optics.

> Isn’t this Rubin wench supposed to be the resident token “conservative” at the Compost?

You can tell a media source is fake news, if they refer to Rubin as conservative.

I consider the promotion of Rubin as conservative to be an intentional fraud. How did she get that label exactly, when, and by whom?

If he gives the speech somewhere other than the house, (my suggestion of a stadium in Texas), but tell Nancy that he will not send a copy of the speech prior to giving it. Instead, tell them he will send them a video of the speech and after the shutdown he can have a transcript printed for her. Get under her skin besides living rent free in her head.

It’s weird how all the newspaper “conservatives” - Rubin, Brooks, Max Boot, Bill Kristol, and so on - are inevitably pro-homo globalist war hawks with pedigrees from bastions of Communism like Berkeley and Columbia U.

Do it without giving them the stage in front of the American people, we will build the wall starting tomorrow and all the redacted documents will be released for the public to see

The author of this piece is delusional.

Seriously.

I haven't seen this kind of fantasy since the real Baghdad Bob graced our airwaves.

He doesn’t have to be standing in the Capitol to deliver his State of the Union.

Cue tape of woman calling petty display of bitchiness as being a "strong woman" in 3...2...1...

It has to be at the Capitol. It’s a report to Congress.

But I’m sure it can be staged in such a way as to make Pelosi and the House majority look bad.

Of course Jennifer Rubin is a conservative.

Doesn’t “conservative” mean turning Americans into a minority in their own country while sending their sons to bleed and die endlessly in other people’s wars?

How dare you say she’s not a conservative?

Or in the Senate. Due to the smaller space in that chamber it’ll be impossible to have the House members attend and the applause for the President will be greater.

Bigly. And if Trump reads this swill...

A certain quote by Japanese admiral Yamamoto springs to mind.
