Why don’t they just get a low or no interest paycheck loan from a bank or credit union to tide them over till they get paid? Many banks and credit unions ARE offering low or no interest payday loans to FedGov workers affected by the shutdown - all they need to do is bring their paystub with them showing how much their take home pay is!

We did it back in 1995 during that shutdown!

A good idea. Credit Unions generally are easy to work with.
