Holy God,
As we turn to look toward the new year upon us, may we be certain of Your faithfulness, for You will surely supply all our need in 2019 according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. What a blessing it is to know with all certainty that You go forth with us into each new day, each new year of our lives. And we have the assurance that You will be the same during the coming year as You have been all our days---ever faithful, ever loving, ever merciful, and always wise. Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! Thank You, Father, that in this world of uncertainty, You are the One Constant Who does not waiver, change, or fade.
Lord, we ask Your special blessings and protection for President Trump and Vice President Pence. Surely as our Jehovah Jireh, our mighty Provider, You will give them the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Thank You for giving them the strength and courage to lead this nation. May our legislators and judges also be lead by Your Spirit. We acknowledge that there is one Savior----Jesus Christ, our Lord, in Whom is the true Hope for this nation.
Lord, our Defender, please bless and guide the men and women in uniform who are sent forth into the streets and foreign regions to defend the innocent. We pray for each man and woman who is on assignment whether near home or away. Bless them for their willingness to sacrifice for the common good. We ask You to give them courage and the desire to draw close to You for guidance, for You will surely provide. Help them to make this new year a time of deepening their relationship with You.
Bless Your people Israel with peace, prosperity, protection, and the good news of the Gospel. Please send forth Your laborers for the harvest of souls, Father. We ask these blessings for our beloved America as well, Lord, that 2019 would be a year of great revival in this nation.
Thank You, Father, for sending Your Precious Son to us. As we put away the decorations and packages from our Christmas celebrations, help us to be reminded of Your love for us----the Love that came down on Christmas Day. We are grateful, Lord, for so great a Gift. Let us be mindful of our Savior each day of this blessed new year. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
