Court orders company to comply with special counsel subpoena in mystery grand jury appeal
CNN ^

(CNN)Four days after attorneys secretly argued over a grand jury subpoena suspected to be related to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election, a federal appeals court is forcing an unnamed company to comply with the subpoena.

The appeals court did not identify the company, nor did the appellate judges say the subpoena was related to the Mueller investigation. The company that sought to quash the subpoena is owned by a foreign country, the ruling Tuesday said. But the hearing Friday came after several other secretive court clashes between Mueller's team and the company that received the subpoena, apparently over a grand jury action. The US Circuit Court in DC had locked down an entire floor of the courthouse Friday to prevent disclosure of the lawyers' identities.

No. They’re not going after the Clintons, ever. It’s all rigged to get Trump.

many people in twitter thinking its

Rosneft

Discussions during the campaign about sanctions on Russia.

The dossier says that during the Trump adviser Carter Page’s July 2016 trip to Moscow, Igor Sechin, the CEO of the Russian state-owned energy company Rosneft, offered Page the brokerage of 19% in Rosneft in exchange for the US lifting sanctions on Russia.

Page denied the allegation but later told the House Intelligence Committee that he “may have briefly” discussed the potential sale of a stake in Rosneft with Andrey Baranov, the company’s head of investor relations.
Asked whether he had ever directly expressed support for the idea of lifting US sanctions on Russia with Baranov, Page replied: “Not directly.”

In December 2016, Rosneft signed a deal selling 19.5% of its shares to unknown buyers. The next day, Page traveled to Moscow to meet with “top managers” at Rosneft.

Also that month, the Obama administration announced new sanctions on Russia. Later that day, Michael Flynn, then the incoming national security adviser, called Sergey Kislyak, Russia’s ambassador to the US, to talk about sanctions. The next day, Russia announced it would not retaliate against the US.

#39. Forget Plan Z. It won’t work. Try “Plan 9 From Outer Space”. In this day and age, it just might work.

When I read the court order, I had the same thoughts you expressed. I would speculate this involves, not a Mueller investigation, but a Justice Department investigation of the Uranium One matter. Uranium One was based in Canada but since 2013 it is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Russian state-owned nuclear corporation Rosatom. Of particular interest would be information about sale outside the United States of the uranium acquired here as well as any payoffs made to U S officials or the Clinton Foundation.

Yeah, if it’s Mueller related Deutsche Bank makes a lot of sense. I was thinking it might be Huawei if it has nothing to do with Mueller.

I thought Rosatom was owned by a billionaire oligarch dude. I could be mistaken. I am thinking that that is wishful thinking. I am thinking it has more to do with one of the companies the lawyer Cohen was dealing with involving that “free $50 million apartment” gift to Putin. Even though, as I read the story, that deal had zero to do with Trump (it was Cohen trying to leverage his connections and license his name, not built or financed or managed by Trump personally). But against as I read that story Cohen and the other partner were trying to get Russian banks to finance it and Russian engineering firms to build it. So could be one of those...

Just throwing darts in the dark here.
