Migrant groups march to U.S. consulate in Tijuana demanding reparations

Dec. 12--Two groups of Central American migrants made separate marches on the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana Tuesday, demanding that they be processed through the asylum system more quickly and in greater numbers, that deportations be halted and that President Trump either let them into the country or pay them $50,000 each to go home.

On the one-month anniversary of their arrival into Tijuana, caravan members are pressing the United States to take action but they are dwindling in numbers since more than 6,000 first arrived to the city's shelters.

Approximately 700 have voluntarily returned to their country of origin, 300 have been deported, and 2,500 have applied for humanitarian visas in Mexico, according to Xochtil Castillo, a caravan member who met with Mexican officials Tuesday. The group of unaccounted migrants, about 3,500 are presumed to have either crossed illegally into the United States, moved to other Mexican border cities, or simply fallen through the cracks.

Mexico's National Institution of Migration did not respond to a request to verify those numbers Tuesday.

The first group demanding action, numbering about 100, arrived at the U.S. Consulate at about 11 am Tuesday. The migrants said they were asking that the Trump Administration pay them $50,000 each or allow them into the U.S.

When asked how the group came up with the $50,000 figure, organizer Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa of Honduras, said they chose that number as a group.

I’d go for a deal where we pay the local cartel nothing but let them slip through an ounce of coke for each head with a ton of meth bonus per thousand heads.

“Migrant groups march to U.S. consulate in Tijuana demanding reparations”

Like my old Command Master Chief used to say to all of us young Sailors back in the day onboard my first Navy ship when we were whining about something, he would say, “son, wish in one hand and $hit in the other and see which one fills up faster.”

Believe that saying applies here...

Demand this....

> Give them the address and phone number of Soros’ and his minions’ lawyers.

Who do you think told them to pull this blackmail stunt in the first place?

the dictatorship of Juan Orlando Hernandez. Orlando Hernandez is the president of Honduras. Their letter also asked the U.S. to remove Orlando Hernandez from office."

Basically, a Communist was elected President. He attempted to take over the government, violating the Honduran Constitution. The rest of the Government resisted and threw him out of office. Hernandez was Constitutionally put in office and replaced the Communist.

Leftist are upset over that.

It would be as if the U.S. Supreme Court took a case to settle whether Barack Obama was eligible to be President, and ruled against him.

The 50k is an attempt to keep the organizations running these groups in business.

After this failure they are pretty much done.

Sort of blows their whole claim to asylum.

A Modest Proposal: Democrats should start GOFUNDME campaigns, donate generously (out of their own pockets for once), and give the economic migrants the $50,000 each. Think of how virtuous they could feel.

Oh I’m familiar with the backstory, I just find it humorous that in one breath they’re bitching about Yankee intervention in Central American affairs, then in another demanding that the Yankees intervene in Honduran affairs.

What they're doing is called extortion. If we give them 1 dime, this scene will repeat itself over and over.

Rudyard Kipling told us all about it, a century ago.

Dane-Geld
-Rudyard Kipling

It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbour and to say: —
“We invaded you last night—we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away.”

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ‘em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: —
“Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away.”

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: —

“We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that pays it is lost!”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Illustrating that we are more of a banana republic than Honduras.
Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen and was never eligible to be President.
I was surprised to discover that on this one web site 50K Zimbabwe dollars officially converts to 138.16 US ... not sure if I buy their conversion rate ... that’s still way more that I would give these guys to go away.
I'd be tempted to offer them 50K Zimbabwe dollars—each—but they'd have to pick up these "reparations" in Honduras. (Or Venezuela).
