This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (I John 5:14)

Holy God,
As we enter the beautiful season of Advent, we rejoice in the celebrations that focus on the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Father, we are grateful for the beauty and meaning of this time of year; and yet, as with most good things, the devil tries to lure us away from what should be our true focus. Instead he deceives us with the worldliness of the season so that we forget about the real reason for the celebration. Help us, Lord, to be alert to the times when we spin out of control with the busyness of Christmas preparations. Help us to be still and consider You. Help us to pray to You, sing to You, and praise You until our rightful focus is restored and our eyes and hearts stay fixed upon You. Help us to be transformed by both the Word and the Word Incarnate so that our minds may be renewed and we may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Lord, as our nation mourns one of its presidents, we pray for peace and comfort for the Bush family. Thank You for President George H.W. Bush, Lord, and the service he gave to America. Help our nation to show gratitude for his life and to honor his memory.
We ask that You help President Trump to be inspired by Your love and transformed by Your grace so that he may do the work You have set before him. Place in him a heart to know You and the desire to honor You in all that he does. Please grant our military men and women the desire to deepen their relationship with You and to learn to depend on You for their every need. Help them to read the Word and be transformed by it. Give them the protection of Your mighty armies of angels and bring them home to their families at the appointed time.
Father, stir the hearts of all believers to pray for Israel and to seek Your very best for her. Let us continue to bless Israel with our prayers and support.
Gracious Lord, give us the desire to make a difference in the lives of others during this season of giving. Make us instruments of Your love and grace as we greet every opportunity to share Jesus with others. Lord, You are the Hope of all mankind. May we be carriers of that Hope to everyone we meet. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel! In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
AMERICA PRAYER VIGIL PING!

I think you’re on to something there. Amen.
Beautiful post. Thank you, Faith.
Amen!!!
And this prayer I am led to repeat for us to pray to deal with our domestic enemies:
Psalm 94
[1] O LORD, thou God of vengeance,
thou God of vengeance, shine forth!
[2] Rise up, O judge of the earth;
render to the proud their deserts!
[3] O LORD, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?
[4] They pour out their arrogant words,
they boast, all the evildoers.
[5] They crush thy people, O LORD,
and afflict thy heritage.
[6] They slay the widow and the sojourner,
and murder the fatherless;
[7] and they say, The LORD does not see;
the God of Jacob does not perceive.
[8] Understand, O dullest of the people!
Fools, when will you be wise?
[9] He who planted the ear, does he not hear?
He who formed the eye, does he not see?
[10] He who chastens the nations, does he not chastise?
He who teaches men knowledge,
[11] the LORD, knows the thoughts of man,
that they are but a breath.
[12] Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD,
and whom thou dost teach out of thy law
[13] to give him respite from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
[14] For the LORD will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
[15] for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
[16] Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
[17] If the LORD had not been my help,
my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.
[18] When I thought, My foot slips,
thy steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.
[19] When the cares of my heart are many,
thy consolations cheer my soul.
[20] Can wicked rulers be allied with thee,
who frame mischief by statute?
[21] They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
[22] But the LORD has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
[23] He will bring back on them their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the LORD our God will wipe them out.
And do not be conformed to this world
Amen, Faith
Joining in prayer for our beloved America:
* For our hearts and minds to be focused on Jesus this Advent season, not distracted by the world
* For the Bush family and our nation who lost a patriarch, a president, and a war hero
* For President Trump and the military (as well as others who serve) to have a deepening relationship with our Lord and Savior
* For God’s chosen in Israel to receive their Messiah during Hanukkah—that He is the Light of the world
* For hearts to be softened during the holidays as we serve to minister to them
In Jesus Name
Amen
Amen.
Amen to your post. It’s true that we have to stay focused on the only way the world will be saved is by Jesus’ glorious return and not by the hand of man. Real Americans get frustrated and you can’t blame them because they see a country created on the foundation in the belief in Jesus being torn down through moral corruption and treachery. As Jesus says, let not your heart be troubled.Have faith, be of good cheer the good news is He will return. In the mean time put on the breastplate of righteousness and gird your loins. Be saved immediately. It’s never too early.
Amen
Amen.
Amen, to a beautiful prayer
Amen to your prayer, Dear Faith, in Jesus Holy Name.
Amen to your prayer. God bless.
Amen
Looking around us, it’s easy to let our hearts be troubled.
Keeping looking up.
Amen.
Amen and thank you.
Amen! Reminding oneself that “this world is not my home” seems to be a good reality check.
