Ivanka Trump used personal email for government work
AP via Yahoo ^ | 11/20 | Associated Press

Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter and a top White House adviser, sent hundreds of emails about government business from a personal email account last year, The Washington Post reported Monday.

The emails were sent to White House aides, Cabinet members and Ivanka Trump's assistants, many in violation of public records rules, the paper said. President Donald Trump mercilessly criticized his 2016 Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, for using a private email server during her time as secretary of state, labeling her "Crooked Hillary" and saying she belonged in jail.

The White House did not immediately respond to questions about the email use, but a spokesman for Ivanka Trump's lawyer, Abbe Lowell, didn't dispute the report.

"While transitioning into government... Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," said the spokesman, Peter Mirijanian.

Doh!

I can't get too excited about this as a private domain and server as Sec. of State is a far bigger deal than a simple private email account.

Yet still, with the history of this sort of thing, they should have been keen to avoid an issue like this. As they say, bad optics.

I didn’t realize that she had Yoga lessons and cookie recipes in her correspondence. How many TS T and C messages were in it?

This is serious. We should be investigating anyone that used a personal e-mail account or used “home brew” servers for e-mail in connection with their government appointments. NOW!

They should have Comey investigate this. As long as he is exactly as thorough and objective as he was with the Clintons, the democrats will accept that there was no intentional wrong doing and accept it.

(Ivanka probably e-mailed an official government business question about fabric softener use with softened water in the laundry. Hope the North Koreans don’t learn this secret.)

"...private email..."

Likely they will find only 33,000 emails about wedding plans and yoga sessions.
That answer is always completely satisfactory, so we have learned.

Yep, doesn’t sound like the emails included any nefarious pay-to-play or anything.

But an incredibly stupid unforced error (and illegality).

I don’t think Ivanka used it for Top-Secret information.

Actually Comey was found to have used a personal email address for official work.

Hasn’t this already been established as common practice?

HRC uses private email, no one cares.

BHO uses private email, no one cares.

Comey uses private email no one cares.

So now we need to have a hissy fit over Ivanka

Do you fags at the Ass Press have any proof or are you aholes just using the fact that Trump’s spokesman didn’t “respond” to your dumbass allegations as proof? You clowns need to lay off the recreational drugs.

When is the press going to be notified that Ivanka is going to be our new Attorney General? Bobby Kennedy got to do it... Congress could change that stupid law they made that stops that from happening again. President Trump should float that one past the leadership in the House, just to keep them busy.

The Lefty Gals on CBS This morning were all giddy about this saying how her and Hillary did the same thing.

Then some blond bimbo came on and said that Trump lies to lawyers under oath?? Nobody even blinked an eye, so full of hate these gals are.

no classified information was transmitted in the messages, that no emails were deleted and that the emails have since been “retained” in conformity with records laws.

There is no nepotism prohibition. Its simply a statutory rule. Congress could repeal if it wanted to.
