Republicans wanted their whole mismatched coalition to win every race without having to work at it.
+1
It’s both. Paul Ryan did this on his way out the door by his choice of who to fund and who not to fund.
“...The problem goes way beyond messaging...”
The enemedia omits any good message coming from conservatives and so the vast majority of Americans never get any message from our side at all.
We must figure out how to make an end run around this black out. Twitter and google edit conservative voices via algorithms.
In addition, we have to counter the socialist mantra that has been learned by Americans in the government schools starting in kindergarten since the 1960’s. And it must be done in a sound bite or 30 second video clip as that is the attention span of a millennial.
This is a tall order, yet if we can get talented millennials themselves on it to do some of this for us via the tech world I think it can be done.
This must begin STAT.
____________
Any candidate from most parts of this country is going to have a hard time winning if they don't promise freebies from birth to grave. Dems. do most of that.
With all the illegal immigrants in the country, all the dead beat older people on the dole, and the millions of idiots manufactured in our schools each year, chances are very dark for a decent real conservative to win any longer.
I don't see anything changing for the better until the LEFT'S stranglehold on the media ends ....... and IT ISN'T going to happen any time soon.
The last two generations of Americans have been lazy ....... not watching over the way our schools have mutated our children. I'm 71 and I'm part of those generations who allowed it to happen.
The messaging problem is that the GOP isn’t offering any solutions to modern urban and suburban problems.
The GOP is spot on with rural solutions and culture.
Know your strengths. Know your weaknesses.
IF ... If the GOP wants to make inroads with urban and suburban voters (regardless of gender), then the GOP has to propose solutions to modern urban and suburban problems such as:
traffic
healthcare
affordable housing
rampart public recreational drug usage such as discarded needles in childrens parks
homelessness
clean drinking water (Flint, Michigan, anyone?!)
controlled burns and firebreaks to minimize forest fires
etc.
...and heres the deal, the GOP might not even *want* to propose such solutions.
Fine. Whatever.
...but you certainly havent heard GOP candidates propose solutions to those modern urban/suburban problems.
So live without their votes.
Either you want their votes or not.
Pound your chest. Act all internet-tough!
But dont claim that they cant think to explain why they arent voting for you.
They arent voting for the GOP because they arent hearing solutions from the GOP.
Dont ask them to change. They arent going to make your job easy.
If you want their votes then solve their problems.
Otherwise, admit that you dont want their votes.
If you want their votes then solve their problems.
I've seen a lot of your comments on other threads on this issue, and I *totally* agree with you.
Where at at the GOP does the marketing/messaging start to change? The RNC? (Serious question)
