What pic-loaded threads do is slow down loading on some devices and also for those with slower connect speed. If a person is on some kind of a metered plan, pic-heavy threads eat up a lot of the plan, as opposed to text threads.
Perhaps who want a pic thread should create a separate post devoted exclusively to pic trading or whatever.
