Asymmetric warfare.
Communists countries rarely have many resources, so their weapon is always to use, abuse and terrorize people.

Venezuela couldn’t fund a church pancake breakfast.
The funding is coming from elsewhere, most likely in the US.

Hell, that entire country couldnt scrape together enough funding to buy a roll of toilet paper, much less fund 10,000 people. Unless of course Soros is back channeling money down there.EXACTLY! Well said.

“I’d like to do that but China and Russia will take up the slack.”

China and Russia picking up the tab for those countries causing the USA harm would be my assumption. We just need to stop it...
At this point, it’s like we’re paying the countries to come and rob, rape, maim, and kill us. On our dime. Our nation shouldn’t be into Bondage and S&M.
Our country should be into keeping it’s citizenry safe and resources kept inside our country.

You raise a number of good points.
IMO, although Mexico has had public issues with Trump it will not, IMO challenge whatever measures we deem prudent. There will certainly be dollar costs and perhaps other considerations granted to Mexico.
I am also confident that between local, state and fed LE, National Guard units and our military forces we can secure our borders. We should not, of course, mow down women and children who trespass, but look to Mexico to literally provide food and buses for a prompt return.
However, military-aged males who trespass are another matter and we should saturate the area immediately south of the entire border with air-dropped flyers providing clear notice.

One thing the military can help out a lot with is intel. They can post air & ground assets to look deep into Mexico to look for and keep track of concentrations and movements of vehicles and people so that we can have a heads up on what's happening on the other side of the border, anticipate developments and have forward planning to deal with it.

Bingo.
Between ground and air assets we probably have identified the caravan handlers. After that it gets easier. Tom Clancy could have had the book in the stores 20 years ago.

They have the money to send them to Mexico but not help them in their own country?
