Dr. Miroslav Djordjevic says more people, particularly transgender women over 30, are asking for reversal surgery, yet their regrets remain taboo
Five years ago, Professor Miroslav Djordjevic, the world-leading genital reconstructive surgeon, received a patient at his Belgrade clinic. It was a transgender patient who had surgery at a different clinic to remove male genitalia – and had since changed their mind.
That was the first time Djordjevic had ever been contacted to perform a so-called “reversal” surgery. Over the next six months, another six people also approached him, similarly wanting to reverse their procedures. They came from countries all over the Western world, Britain included, united by an acute sense of regret. At present, Djordjevic has a further six prospective people in discussions with his clinic about reversals and two currently undergoing the process itself; reattaching the male genitalia is a complex procedure and takes several operations over the course of a year to fully complete, at a cost of some euros 18,000 (pounds 16,000).

This does not surprise me at all. I’ve met a few trans and they were all a psych mess (no shocker there). These folks think that surgery is going to resolve their issues but of course it does not and then they are even worse off because they went through all that pain for nil.
That is why these surgeries should be prohibited for anyone under 30, or for that matter Bruce Jenner’s age.
You cannot treat a mental condition through surgical mutilation. It only compounds the problem.
What I wonder is where do they get a donor.
Is there a list of those in need who are notified after a wreck or other death that presents a viable organ suitable for transplant?

“Transition” is a false term, in terms of what is being done. There is only pretention, assited by surgical mutilation and artificial hormones-for-life assistance; to satisfy an obsession arising from a metal problem of an identify dysphoria.
What is really needed is not the srugeries or the hormones, but early, steady, insistence and consistent early on in the persons to life to tackle and over come the erroneous obsession that is overtaking their life. Yes that should include compassion and sympathy as well as love from parents, but enabling the obsession is not a “cure”. It is a the begining of a lifelong commitment to a “pretense” of a “sex change”.
Because I hated it with every fibre of my being. Not the crown part of it, but that infernal metal chaperone that goes across the front of the lower arch.
Men with psychological problems who get treated with castration later regret it? Gosh, who would have guessed that would happen?
John Hopkins discovered that the suicide rate for those having a sex change operation stayed the same. This is why John Hopkins stopped the operations.
I’ll bet 90% of these tranZ don’t get the penis chop. They get loads of female hormones that makes them grow breasts. They also get a female psychology from these hormones. And are content to tape up their penis close to their body for social and romantic (lol) occasions. They get to wear makeup and women’s clothing to get their rocks off.
Thus I see little upside in getting the penis and testicles chopped off. Whatever vagina the surgeon makes for you will be pathetic and not have much feeling in it despite claims otherwise.
“Detransition” - effing stupid euphemism is as bad as “transitioning” was in the first place.
