No one will split their ballot, voting for Scott and against DeSantis. If Scott wins, DeSantis wins.

We already have a Republican winning in the Miami area that formerly went for Hillary. Same thing, these are Cubans, they aren’t going to split their ballot to vote Republican for Congress but Gillam for governor.

Without getting overconfident, I’d say Florida is in the good column.

Doesn’t seem like he’s much aligned with Trump, asking for help, or even running a competent campaign. Trump won’t be able to drag everyone over the finish line.

This is definitely an internal poll.

To me, the poll internals look valid. I am interested in LS comments on poll methodology.

I am in Tallahassee. I have seen one DeSantis bumper sticker, no yard signs and no internet commercials. I have no TV and don’t take the paper. (But I doubt the Tallahassee “Democrat” would run a Republican ad.)

In contrast every second black driver has a Gillum bumper sticker and I see his signs often.

I will be enormously disappointed if DeSantis Is Not Elected, meaning that we lost him from Congress for nothing. It would be kind of like the reverse of Jeff Sessions.

Internals could even be a bit conservative.

Another thought..this was taken before the debate. Many think DeSantis won the debate, so maybe this will give him a few more points.

I imagine that would be an invitation to a mob attack. I would expect that the black turnout for Gillum would be 90%+.

I tend to agree. Same as Texas. I’m sure some do, but people voting for Scott know what’s at stake with DeSantis.

“I imagine that would be an invitation to a mob attack.”

I actually witnessed a couple of blacks pull into a business behind an elderly Republican couple who had (either a Romney or McCain sticker, don’t recall now). They had pulled into a roadside BBQ stand run by a black man. When they fled, the owner read the riot act to the blacks who had done it. These were his customers of many years and he feared they’d never be back. The response was, “yeah, but, the bumper sticker.” As if that explained and justified any amount of business lost to crappy white people.

Where I worked, most of the floor people where black and there were multiple Obama stickers everywhere. There was one McCain sticker. The reason? Nobody wanted their tires slashed or paint ruined. So, the don’t be civil thing started a long, long time ago.

The average voter goes for a single party. So if Scott wins, he probably will drag DeSantis to victory despite DeSantis's crappy campaign.

I always want to tell people who have a Lib bumper sticker,
“Hey, did you know somebody put an, ‘I’m an idiot’ bumper sticker on the back of your car?”

I don’t do it but I want to.

Many think DeSantis won the debate, ..

DeSantis looked weak in the debate. The lying dem is a fast talking extremist and is as crooked as can be. Hopefully Florida voters will realize this.

No, no, I’m sure this must be wrong.....I just saw two ‘journolists’ from the Tampa Bay Times, on with Bret Baiet, say that Gillum is on the upswing and will win just as Nelson will win on Gillum’s coattails. What are those ‘journolists’ smoking? I sure hope that Scott (AND DeSantis) will win!! Trump needs a change in the Senate so he can get his agenda through!
