There’s something about the mob mentality that is inherently chaotic and frightening.
You see, in “mob” situations, where emotions are running incredibly high, even the slightest movement among the crowd can create a tidal wave of force. A rumor, or an errant tweet, even, could send what was once a peaceful crowd into the rafters of anger. This is what sent citizens streaming out onto the nation’s highways years ago when Black Lives Matter still looked like it had a shot of being a productive movement.
Of course, it has since devolved into a barbaric and murderous mess, as we saw in Dallas in 2016.
Antifa, for what they’re worth, aren’t any better at maintaining order among their ranks, and have been involved in a number of violent and anti-Constitutional incidents during their brief existence.
Now, as the two combine forces in Portland, no one is safe; not even the elderly or handicapped.

Portland gave up or joined with the protesters over recent years, for much of the past couple of decades it seems like. Such a shame as it was a great city—I lived there in 2000-2003, owned a house. The city’s then mayor, never even a licensed driver spent tens of millions on bike trails in a city where it rains over 300 days a year and most businesses don’t have showers, etc. They’ve been running leading businesses out of town and the county. The towns streets are lined with homeless, the police let protesters run amok. It is out of control. Even the feds seem to ignore it.

There are videos of world class basketball and soccer players getting made up to appear as old men then taking to the court and field and kicking butt against the young guys.
Be kind of fun to be an MMA fighter(s) and do the same at an Antia protest.
I was born and raised in Portland, and yes, it was a really nice place back then. (I don’t think it rained any 300 days a year, though.) I moved to Arizona when I was 30, in 1985, and haven’t even visited Portland for the last 12 years or so. I probably never will again, now that I don’t have any relatives still living there.

I have it on good authority that Antifa folks are good people, just being anti-Fascist.
Forget what you are seeing by these people. They are really gentle souls/s. Always believe Democrats and the news media./s
