I hope our Marine Corps doesn’t lose a good man over this. If he’s got enough years in to retire, he could say FU and walk out the door.

Our military is still PC fucked up as are the military academies. We’ve got to fix this and stop hemorrhaging good leaders like happened under Obama’s deliberate plan to emasculate our field commanders (and did successfully, esp. SouthCom).

Hell, there is hardly a congressmen or major politician who hasn’t had some kind of drinking incident yet they are still in office.

On top of it drunk driving infractions are lowering the bar for convictions.

Australia is 0.05.

US is 0.08 (it was over 0.1 not too long ago and that is far lower than what the founder of MADD was concerned about).

Sweden is 0.01.

"Drink driving" is the standard term used in Australia for the offence of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The offence is based on the level of alcohol detected in the breath as an indication of blood alcohol level.

A person is guilty at a level of 0.05% or higher. Between 0.05 and 0.08 is low-range, 0.08-0.15 is medium-range, over 0.15 is high-range. The potential penalties increase as the range increases.
