A person with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press that 18 of the victims in Saturday afternoon's crash at the Apple Barrel Country Store were in the limo and two were bystanders. The person was not authorized to discuss the preliminary information publicly and spoke Sunday on the condition of anonymity.

A stretch Suburban type rig.
Something ain’t right somewhere.....that’s for sure.
So limo crashes into parked vehicle, all 18 in limo dead, two pedestrians also dead.
Must have been one hell of a wreck to kill 18 in the limo.
That’s what is puzzling. I would expect photos of a large mangled vehicle. We are not seeing any.
Limo doing about 60 mph when it came over the hill and headed towards the shopping area parking lot.
I used to live in northern NJ and worked in Manhattan back in the late ‘70’s and ‘80’s. One thing I noticed then as well as now is that every car accident involving NY drivers are almost always fatal and the cars look like they’ve been hit by a Hellfire missile.
Years ago this happened on L.I.. A wedding party, entering the reception parking lot, was involved in a fatal crash when the limo they were in was t-boned by some kid driving a sports car.
The bride, groom and one or two in the wedding party were killed. My husband and I were married in the same church many years before.
This is going to do for stretch limos what the capsizing in Missouri did to Duck Boats.
Was there a fuel fire after the collision?
Did the “stretch” operation make the vehicle more prone to fire and collision damage?
Were the brakes of the modified vehicle adequate for the new load?
Was the handling adversely affected by modification?
My guess, Yes, Yes, No, Yes.
Even before this, I though, there’s no way you’d get me into one of those. They aren’t safe. There’s no inspections of modified cars like that for safety.
They're unsafe? All limos are not made the same. I'd have no problem in this one.
I’m talking more like the ones they use for proms and weddings. You don’t know who did the modifications on those.
Why do you think it was the limousines lack of safety features or modifications which caused the collision?
Not the collision itself, but it’s more the death toll from the collision. I believe there is a flaw in the design.
What flaw in the limos modification caused all these deaths?
I’m guessing that they hit HARD and no one was belted in.
