Sore loser laws are constitutionally problematic.
I suspect even Judge Kavanaugh would vote to strike them down.

The Constitution does not envision nor protect political parties. Hence it can’t tell an individual who loses a race in one party that it can’t stand for another.

Well, we will see won’t we! There are a lot of festering legal issues ( like the Second Amendment) that the SCOTUS has treated like a piece of dog $hit on the front lawn for decades. Hopefully, the “new” SCOTUS will be “motivated” to go to work and resolve these matters instead of picking at them like a scab.
