If Collins is a final NO vote then it is all on Sen Manchin [D-WV]. He voted yes on cloture but we all know if Collins announces No at 3 pm EST then the whole Democratic machine will be on Manchin to walk the plank and vote NO vote.
Manchin is a sure yes. He wants to be re-elected and he’s only reflecting his constituents’ views.
I think he’s announcing soon.

If Manchin votes for Judge Kavanaugh, he will be a pariah in the democrat caucus in the Senate. If Manchin casts the deciding vote against Judge Kavanaugh, he probably won’t be in the Senate anymore.
Murkowski likes being controversial on this because she’s got air between those two ears. Wait until she runs again.
I can’t see any DEM being vote 50, even Manchin, even though he knows a no vote ends his elected political career... a yes vote that puts Kavanaugh over ends any shot a career after hes voted out.
