Mutual friend of Ramirez and Kavanaugh anxious to come forward with evidence

A former classmate of the Supreme Court nominee has reached out to the FBI but hasn't received a response.

WASHINGTON — In the days leading up to a public allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to a college classmate, the judge and his team were communicating behind the scenes with friends to refute the claim, according to text messages obtained by NBC News.

Kerry Berchem, who was at Yale with both Kavanaugh and his accuser, Deborah Ramirez, has attempted to get those messages to the FBI for its newly reopened investigation into the matter but says she has yet to be contacted by the bureau.

The texts between Berchem and Karen Yarasavage, both friends of Kavanaugh, suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public. In one message, Yarasavage said Kavanaugh asked her to go on the record in his defense. Two other messages show communication between Kavanaugh's team and former classmates in advance of the story

Is he discussing what the NY’er is going to print?

Are the allegations true or not?

Finally, Berchem is concerned about what she witnessed at the 1997 wedding where Ramirez and Kavanaugh were both in the wedding party.

According to the information Berchem provided, Ramirez tried to avoid Kavanaugh at that wedding of their two friends, Yarasavage and Kevin Genda.

Ramirez, “clung to me” at the wedding, Berchem wrote to Yarasavage in a Sept. 24th text message. “She never went near them,” a reference to Kavanaugh and his friends. Even in the group photo, Berchem wrote, Ramirez was trying to keep away from Kavanaugh.

Right. In her accusation, she states that she only recently came to the realization it was Kavanaugh, with the help of her lawyers. Yet, way back in 1997, we're told that she was "avoiding" Kavanaugh for some unknown reason. Why can't people simply stick to the facts? And I assume Berchem wasn't one of the people who signed the letter supporting Kavanaugh.

. Berchem says in her memo that Kavanaugh “and/or” his friends “may have initiated an anticipatory narrative” as early as July to “conceal or discredit” Ramirez.

Twitter and the fake news are meaningless unless you actually are playing their game. I’m certainly not and could care less what their latest outrage is.

Or Kavanaugh was merely trying to round up support among his former classmates.

Did the texts reference Ramirez? I doubt it.

Of course he knew about the allegation before the story was published, there’s a statement from him in the actual New Yorker story. What he said in the committee is he had never heard the allegation until the New Yorker story, not the actual publication of the story

Exactly. The left playing semantics.

This is GARBAGE!

Lynne Brooks, who was the Freshman roomie of Ramirez and claims to have been part of the crowd that Kavanaugh hung out with, claims that Debbie R's claims are bogus; but that she DID see Brett drink.

This was in the DAILY MAIL, at the end of last week.

I wonder if mooning the girls’ room from across the courtyard in college would disqualify one from being on the Supreme Court?

With sweaty palms, I await the answer to your question.

From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 :

  Hysteria \Hys*te"ri*a\, n. [NL.: cf. F. hyst['e]rie. See
     Hysteric.] (Med.)
A nervous affection, occurring almost exclusively in women,
in which the emotional and reflex excitability is
exaggerated, and the will power correspondingly diminished,
so that the patient loses control over the emotions, becomes
the victim of imaginary sensations, and often falls into
     paroxism or fits.
     [1913 Webster]

Note: The chief symptoms are convulsive, tossing movements of
the limbs and head, uncontrollable crying and laughing,
and a choking sensation as if a ball were lodged in the
throat. The affection presents the most varied
symptoms, often simulating those of the gravest
diseases, but generally curable by mental treatment
           alone. Hysteric

Yes there is a denial state, met from kavanaugh in the article. That is not at odds with him saying he first heard of it in the New Yorker story

I heard that some distant relative of Kavanaugh’s drove a Stutz Bearcat through the Quad at Harvard wearing only a bear skin coat and straw hat while yelling 23 Skidoo! sometime in the early 1920’s.

Seriously? Someone made Ms. Ford’s entire social media life disappear including high school year books and “wayback machine” archives. A little thing like timestamps is an after thought.
