What's frustrating is that there are ways to narrow down these things.

The party was in the early summer. Let's say June or July. Was it on a weekend? That narrows it to about 16 days. Kavanaugh can account for his whereabouts on all weekend days.

Was it on a week day? She can't remember, but she wore a bathing suit and went to the country club to swim. How frequently did she do that? Did she do that on a regular schedule? Every Tuesday and Thursday?

She went to the country club to go swimming late enough that she went straight from there to this party. On what days did she normally go swimming into the evening? What time did the country club pool close?

If she frequently swam at the country club, does she know the names of the streets by the country club? Does she recall the street the party house was on? How about the street from the country club that she took to get to the house? After all, how long did she live there? How often did she travel those streets?

She named several people who were at the party. Did she know that none of them lived at the house? Can she describe the person who did live at the house? There had to be only one or two people left beyond the four she named. Was it a boy or girl who lived there?

These are basic facts that don't require remembering street addresses or names of acquaintances or friends of friends.
