Judge Brett Kavanaugh has had 5 or 6 FBI background checks for previous appointments and nothing was found. He surely had a major background check this time also. An FIB investigation of a supposed crime 30 years ago is what I took the democrats to be requesting. A sexual assault classification of a crime nowadays may not have have been a crime 30 years ago anyway I suspect a statute of limitations would have run out.
I am not supporting the supposed victim. Grassley has to walk fine line to support “victims” when an allegation is made on a judicial nominee who has 6 investigations, the allegation would be the 7th. In this case they may have found insufficient information. I came her to say the original comment is false. The FBI does plenty of investigations which are not base don federal law violations, every time adjudge is nominated or allegations are made against them.. that is my only point. if you can refute that then s\cite your information otherwise accept what process grassley has been using.
