What’s AM radio? Amplitude Modulation, it's used mostly in radio broadcast transmissions and uses a carrier wave.
It's the radio of choice for us out west.☺

Trying to find the farthest distance AM station has saved my sanity many times on boring long distance night-time road trips.
Something like 1000 miles is the farthest I’ve been able to find.
