The actions of four teenage boys have gone viral after a photo showed them halting for the national anthem.
According to CBS News, the boys were on their way to a football game at Bullock Creek High School in Midland, Michigan, when they took stopped in the middle of a parking lot and took off their hats to salute the flag.
A person identified as Mike Ullery, Jr., snapped a photo of the young men and said in post that has since gone viral on Facebook that he was impressed by their patriotism.
"I was impressed by these Bullock Creek boys. Running late to the game they heard the national anthem and stopped, took off their hats and placed hands over heart," Ullery wrote in a Facebook post including the photo. "Respect."
"I was just proud of them, so I just snapped a picture and hoped it would get back to them when I posted it on Facebook," Ullery told CBS News later on Monday.
The photo has since racked up more than 1,300 shares since it was posted on Friday.
All American young men. God bless them.
That was SOP when I was growing up in the midwest .. still happens often around here in central PAlabama.
Not everyone is a Kaepernick, thank goodness.
That’s how we did it on base (USAF) when I was a kid.
Note the jeans and shorts not down at the knees.
same here navy brat.
Their parents did a great job!
I was in Target the other night, lost my footing a fell down two stairs on the ESCALATOR!
Scared the heck out of me! A young teenage male in front of me noticed and stopped to make sure I safely exited the escalator and got my run away cart.
There are still a few whose parents have taught them some manners.
BTDT, only Army. Stopped the car, got out for retreat.
HOORAY young men!

As it should be.
Living overseas on US military bases, retreat was done to the bugle call "To The Colors" not to the national anthem.
We returned home when I was 16, I heard the "Star Spangled Banner" at retreat and cried like a baby.
I remember that feeling every time I hear about the nfl prima donas taking a knee and pity them for never knowing how good it is the live here.
Fantastic!
For some reason unbeknownst to me, the University of Washington (my alma mater) marching band does an absolutely wonderful patriotic job at football games. Before the players come onto the field (they are in the locker room as has been the tradition for as long as I can remember), the band plays “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “America the Beautiful” (while rolling out a flag that covers about 10% of the field), then “The Star-spangled Banner” as soon as the flag is totally unfurled. Even though USSR-WA is run by Democrats / Liberals / Socialists / Communists, it is nice to see at least one bright spot!
Don’t think I have ever been in a multi-story Target, but what I’m wondering is- what were you doing with a cart on an escalator? I guess California is really, really different!
Happens at every sporting event at high school games I attend in New Hampshire. As far as you can see all activity on all fields stops and players, parents, and students are saluting.
I wonder. you think one of those Electric Riding Carts would fit on an Escalator? That would be epic.
Wow, indeed!
I’ve never seen a Target less than 3 stories.
Here’s a video of the escalator with a shopping cart:

Play it.
There are 4 “lanes” on the escalator.
One for people going up,
One for carts going up,
Another for people going down,
Another for carts going down.
It makes sense in the video. :)
