While it seems to me that Cruz clearly outperformed O’Rourke in the debate, the Democrat remains a very strong candidate and could win. But Cruz can pull it out if he continues on the debate themes.

Wish Cruz would bring up the fact Bibby’s Mom was in trouble for evading taxes, on her biz.That would probably blow back on Cruz. Don't known many Texan's that would agree with what might be seen as picking on somebody's Momma.
I think Cruz did pretty good by just focusing on how the Buto is nothing more than a Socialist carpetbagger.
