"...'The pendulum may have swung a little bit too far'
Disney CEO Bob Iger admitted that ESPN has become overly political.
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview published Thursday how the sports network has changed over the past year, Iger said that the network is working on reeling in its politics and focusing on sports.

ESPN is going to start doing sports? Who knew?
No MBA. Iger graduated from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Television and Radio. That’a his full education. Who needs to understand business when you’re trained in propaganda?
Day late. Dollar short. See ya.
What's even stupider is that "Lee" is just an anglicization of the Asian name. It could just as easily be spelled "Li," and then the PC idiots wouldn't have a clue.
They have always dabbled as a social media and politics. Another example of it was in 2003 when Rush Limbaugh was hired to do a short commentary about pro football and he did his first, and only show, on footballs efforts to promote black quarterbacks using Donovan as it’s savior in that area. It was not a racial comment but an attempt to illustrate how the media was using skin color to grow a fan base for money. And unfortunately Donovan was just an average quarterback and was being used badly by the media. Tom Jackson and Stephen Smith didn’t understand the content, or didn’t want to, and blasted Limbaugh for an improper prospective as they were defending the media right or wrong.
ESPN stands for entertainment, sports programming network. They just leaned a little heavy on the entertainment part and swayed from sports.
Even the sniping of Keith Olbermann, nothing but a long time out of prime time sports center news hound, was picked up by MSNBC and was awarded his own spots on their network just to blast the GOP for everything from fantasies to outright knowledgeable lies. By the time he got so far out there with his blather and they tossed him back due to low fan count, he was just another loser face that was past his time anywhere.
Names like Sarah Sanders, Jamele Hill, Linda Cohn, Curt Shilling, Keith Law, Britt McHenry........There’s more that have played the game and been hammered or escaped by the hair of their back side. I don’t even watch it anymore for sports information because it is so slimy with their lies and wannabe heroics, they didn’t have enough time to tell who played the sports today.
And if ESPN doesn’t help certain teams get air time for their bottom line in certain sports, the left coast might get a variety of teams to watch rather than espn’s select few. I have no respect for their analysis as it is so stupid for anyone who understands the games, that it makes the contests horrible. And all the major networks who broadcast are doing it by hiring certain team announcers to save money and those folks are so biased and try to make their players make routine plays look like espn hero spots, I turn off the sound until their camera selections lose the flow of the contest, showing select players in the dugout or on the sidelines instead of on the field, at which time it’s time for an old western.

Yup, he’s probably lying, but it does not matter, years too late. They have been a liberal lapdog for a long, long time.
Mirror, mirror on the wall.
