My understanding is that the redacted letter was given to the FBI and turned over to the White House for its background files. I believe this is also the letter that has been widely published. If so, the redactions consist solely of the names of the other people at the party, and a redacted name and location where Chrissy/Dr. Ford later met [redacted], who is apparently the other person she says was in the bedroom with her and Kavanaugh. As far as I know, all of the people allegedly at the party have not yet been identified, so one of the redacted names could turn out to be a surprise witness. Am I missing anything?
In any event, Grassley should insist on seeing the unredacted letter immediately or all potential deals are off. It is absolutely inexcusable for Feinstein to be withholding direct evidence concerning the accusation.
