Trump made a serious mistake by not cleaning house throughout the executive branch of government when he took over. I’m sure he knows that now.
He may want to wait til after the midterms for wholesale changes. Just to avoid the “chaos” story the media for run with. But it is time for wholesale changes.

Nope. Don’t fire him yet. That’s probably what the NYT was trying to engineer. Wait until after the election. Use it to motivate the base in the meantime.
